Adobe Digital Editions is an eReader that allows you to read eBooks from a variety of sources, including free eBooks and our Overdrive digital collection.
To get started you must
Why do I need an Adobe ID to read eBooks?
Many of the eBooks that you check out through Overdrive or other sources contain digital rights management (DRM) protection. This restricts the items from being shared with others. In the past, this also meant you could not, yourself, open the eBook on more than one computer or device. Digital Editions helps ensure that your eBooks and other digital publications are not "locked" on one computer — they are assigned to you through your Adobe ID. Adobe membership is free and registration only takes a minute.
Is there a limit on the number of computers/devices that can be authorized with Adobe Digital Editions?
A user can authorize up to 6 computers AND 6 devices with one Adobe ID. Create and use a single Adobe account to authorize your computers and devices. While you may authorize your individually issued HUHS laptop (Class of 2015 and after) to access your Adobe ID, you should not authorize school lab computers.
